I went during the end of Oct 2009. I wanted to check out the fall leaves in Oirase, but was probably about 2 weeks too late. The weather in Sapporo was pretty mild, about 12-15 degrees, but I did catch the first snowfall in Aomori. If you do have the urge to rent a car, Sapporo might be a good place for it, just because there's a lot less people there than the rest of Japan and the rail lines aren't as extensive.

By any chance were you a hall monitor in your younger days? I don?t know why you?ve taken it upon yourself to become the forum police; Eric seems quite good at it. Maybe you need to flex some sort of authority, or maybe it?s because you?re in desperate need of attention. I?m guessing it?s a bit of both.

I come here to share some knowledge I have about Japan that some people might find useful. You seem to come here to insert the most banal comment just to be noticed. At any rate, I have hunch this forum is all you have in life, so I?ll leave it to you. I?m sure Eric will delete my profile and I?m sure I?ll be inconsolable for all of 3 seconds.

Actually.. Petina tries her best to inform and remind people of the rules to try to save them from being blocked and to also try to make my job easier.
