Hi George

The way the employers and immigration department see it is:

"Can a Japanese person do the job?"

If a Japanese person can do the job as well as you can - they wont give you the job..

Same goes for all industries here.

Hi there.

I was hoping you would be able to give me tips on the chances of me getting a working visa. I'm teaching myself Japanese currently (as everyone on here seems to be doing), I went to college last year and passed my teaching qualification at level 3 (Scottish), I have a higher nation diploma in internet and multimedia design and development and currently studying an honors degree in computer games development (game design).
I was thinking my qualifications would be sufficient but it just to make sure.

I've been hoping to move to Japan next year or the year after. I really need to somehow obtain money for it first though which is why its taking a few years.

Just out of curiosity. What do you work in Japan? What is it that you do that a Japanese person cannot do?
Becouse what I do, I doubt many Japanese could do. And it is not just about the doing. I certanly hope that's not the case with japanese employers. I hope they are interested in doing the things the way they are meant to be done, not just doing. Experience is key and living in a country where worst case scenario is everyday life, I belive I've got what it takes, becouse I've had my share of worst case scenarios some japanese probably would never see.
But people around the world are different and I might be wrong. Only time will tell. And please answer my questions to indulge my curiosity!

If you have lots of experience in a profession (like 10 years) and you have an employer that wants to hire you.. and it is a job not many Japanese people can do..
maybe
