Re:Etiquette when visiting Japan 13 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm going to Tokyo with my bf and neither one of us speaks Japanese (lol... a spazzing cartoon in Japanese class made me want to learn Mandarin instead). Anyways, I wanted to know how to go about picking out what I want on a menu (when there is no English version available) without coming off as a complete jerk. Could I take pictures of the sample menu and show them what I want? I'm more than willing to play Russian roulette with food, so could I just point to things on the menu? I don't know how else to approach this issue...

Thanks
