Power of a dark side 13 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: -1
Anyone seen documentary movie ,,The Cove" about hunting dolphins in Japan? Write what you think about it.

I feel soo depresend. Im gathering information about Japan for about 4 years and i started too see more and more negative stuff about Japan ppl. In fact there are clearly more negatives than positive stuff now. Im sure that not all Japan ppl are the same but probably most. No country is perfect, but knowing all this bad stuff make me lose any ,,respect" to Japan ppl. Although im still planing to go to Japan, but now i think ill stay alone like i always do.

PS Sry for my english its not my primary or secondary language

Which negatives in particular are you referring to? I think you may just be giving the Japanese a hard time. I'll admit that there are plenty of things I find or have found strange about Japan at one point, but I've learned to live with it and still find many more positive things.

Japan may seem like an oddity (not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that) to many other cultures and societies, esp. Western ones, but they're a good, decent, hard-working people overall, if a bit hard to get at times.

Bad news travel faster than good news, only human, the good stuff can not kill you so everyone does focus on the bad stuff to be prepared.

But consider this, if you travel to Japan and think its all pink ponys and butterflies you will not have much fun.

If you travel with an mindset of an explorer entering the jungle and do not touch any pretty flowers before the natives tell you it is safe you will only have pleasant surprises!

The main point as i see it is that Japanese culture is about the we, western culture about the I, booth have there good and bad sides, you are just used to life and compensate the bad sides of our I culture, they are a given for you, while the negative sides of the WE culture do stick out to you, they are foreign, as much as the positive sides.

Every country has a dark side. Every country has people doing abominable things.

That includes my own and your too no matter where you're from.

My native Canada has people clubbing seals which has been the subject of wide criticism worldwide. Does that mean that every Canuck out there leaves their house in the morning with a club in hand to smack one seal after the other? Of course not!

It's the wrong thing to do, that's not even up for debate. But it doesn't represent the majority of the population and they should not be punished for the actions of a few deranged ones.
