Hello everyone, first post here

I'm a collector of modern pachinko machines, which got me interested in Animes.

I really enjoy the Evangelion series, as well as, Macross,Nadesico, Aquarion, and Full Metal Alchemist.

Growing up in the states, I watched Speed Racer, Gigantor, and Kimba.

Thank you for the welcome

I also have a vintage pinball machine!

Although I like pachinko more (I now have 25 modern and a couple vintage)

A number of them are Anime themed, 4-Evangelions (2-5), Genesis of Aquarion, Galaxy Railways, Nadesico, Cutie Honey, Speed Racer, Ultraman, and more.

So I'm always looking for new and exciting animes (and pachinkos)

One thing that's always bugged and perplexed me about anime is the really long episode titles in the original Japanese. For example, I used to be a big Dragonball Z fan, and the titles in English make a lot more sense to me than ones that are as many as 10 or 15 words. The latter seems a little excessive for an episode name.

Can anyone explain why Japanese anime creators do this with episode titles? It just seems like more work than necessary.

For example: "Goku's Ultimate Battle Draws Near!! Mystery of the New World Top Martial Arts Competition" (Japanese)/ "What is the Tournament?" (English)

I watch anime for 15 years now and read countless manga and those still fascinate me again and again and again...

It is not my main interest, but I'm always positively surprised when a anime has a bittersweet end. Unlike the western animations and movies where man gets poured with happy endings.

Then there are the modern interpretations of old japanese
legends and myths as well as european legends and myths which i find most interesting.

Or the countless number of schoolife/Coming of age anime combined with romance or harem storys.

But i must say in the recent years there where a lot of bad comedy anime with a touch of ecchi which were so terriblie bad that i thought after watching them "give back my time". But well over all im still in love with anime and manga and probably ever be.

best regards
