If you're going that way by using entertainment as a learning aid, try to avoid copying merchants, comedians/comical relief characters, and gangsters. It's just not a good idea.

Air doesn't have too much comical inflection, but the story line was based in the Kansai region, so a few characters are speaking that rather than Standard. I think there's actually a scene where the aunt gets mad at the girl's father for speaking Standard rather than Kansai-ben. At the time I was watching it though, I didn't have enough of a grasp of the language to tell the difference, so just adding to the warnings of others.
