The Japanese language proficiency test is a very well recognized Japanese language certification exam organized by the Japan Educational Exchange and Services and The Japan Foundation. Its abbreviation is JLPT exam which started in the year 1984. The exam in Japanese language is called "Nihongo Nouryoku shaken". The exam takes place once every year.
