Hello,

I've memorized katakana; I know how to read, write and pronounce it. So, what now? I've heard that katakana is used for 'foreign' words? So, where should I go from here? Should I start learning hiragana?

I don't know how to speak Japanese, I just know one of the alphabets.

Any advise will help!

It is completely your choice. I started with Hiragana and have not learned any katakana yet. Learning a few simple kanji characters will help you in reading as well. You learn new phrases while writing but if you are looking to speak fluently I suggest getting instruction from a teacher or book.
