Watching anime or other japanese video (with subtitles) might be a good idea for people who miss real hearing and speaking experience. It will help you get a bit of basic vocabluary and will teach you correct pronunciation of some common words and phrases. But to make this work, you should learn basic grammar and phonetics first, otherwise you'll have hard time splitting the japaneese speech into words, and words into syllables...
But that is nowhere near enough. To be able to speak japanese, you should really try to read and write it. A lot of important knowledge and skills can be obtained that way.
