I'm looking for something to get me started in Toronto. but i've heard of whats essentially a 'work term' in japan for traveling students and other westerners. basically, you go over there and do manual labor, and in return your host will house, feed, and sometimes show you around the area. people jump from one site to another literally working their way through japan.
