I was talking with a friend of mine yesterday and we both got to discussing japan as we are both facinated by the culture, people and the differneces on how things are handled.

So the question is. How is divorce handeled in japan?

What I mean when I ask this is,

What are acceptable reasons for divorce? Here in america most common reason is irreconsilable differences. aka thought I liked you.. guess not.
Hell when it comes down to it you can get a divorce really easy for no real reason at all in America.

Is it like that in japan? or are there only certain reason divorce is acceptable there? Certain reasons when divorce isn't allowed?

Just to clarify so this isn't misunderstood. I'm not married and not looking to get divorced. Just curious on how things work. I have a bunch of questions really. Don't want to flood the boards with them so just asking here and there about things that I haven't found much about while browsing the web.
