A relationship in simple terms is your personal, emotional investment into another person. I believe it to be your right to ascertain whether that person behaves/acts worthy of the love and emotion you have for him/her.

I agree here, if you don't feel jealousy once in a while you basically showing you aren't committed. Its not about being secure or insecure here, if your emotions are committed to the relationship your feelings will signal you when something happens around your investment.

Lets say some guy/girl tries to smooth talk with your girl/guy. Its natural to be jealous. Only if you over react to these situations showing distrust in your partner is when it becomes a problem. You can be jealous from time to time and still have trust.

First post on the forums. I live in Australia and plan to study the Japanese language and become an English teacher over there (as many of you do I'm sure).\


HOWEVER I have dated a girl who came from Japan on holiday.

Weirdly, she had a boyfriend who didn't seem to mind that she was seeing me over here in Australia. I found out later and was blown away!
