Looks like I disagree with the majority.

I perceive jealousy as a fundamental element of a committed relationship.

A relationship in simple terms is your personal, emotional investment into another person. I believe it to be your right to ascertain whether that person behaves/acts worthy of the love and emotion you have for him/her.

To me, anyone who behaves suspiciously and must keep things secret is instantly ruled out.
