12. If you are planning on living in Japan, buying a car and driving can save you a lot of money in the long-run.

13. Bicycling is a very economical way of traveling around medium-sized cities. You can rent one for ¥500 to ¥1000 a day if you are staying for 1 to 2 weeks, but it is cheaper to just buy one if you are staying longer.

14. There are many popular sightseeing attractions that have free admission, or discounts for foreigners.

15. Look for ¥100 Shops, they carry many household necessities as well as souvenirs.
