Walk into the pet shop.
Hand them about $1-3,000 in yen - depending which breed.
Walk out with the dog.
Of course, trying to take it back to your country would require more money to the airline and time in quarantine in your country.. and more money...

Just curious do they limit what kind of breeds you can have in Japan? I mainly saw tiny pocket sized dogs (is this just due to size/ cuteness factors?)
I saw a few bigger dogs like Labs but mostly ankle biters.
