I was wondering how difficult it is to have a big family in Japan. I mean, are there some aids for families with many kids? Or even with one kid?

It's just a wonder because here in Italy (I'm Italian), the constitution is very clear about the family being a foundamental building block of society but then, in truth, the state and the law doesn't help you at all...how about Japan? Does it laws think family is very important? Do a family receive economical help/taxes reductions and so on?

In Japan in the XXth century families used to be big(2~8 children)...Today they have 1~3 children...usually most common is 1 or 2 children

Also please to remember that there are no family laws regarding child custody in Japan, it is not seen as an issue,If parents divorce usually it is a very bitter and long fight for any kind of access,Just bringing this to light of day,Before any pregnancy occurs.

If your children are ever snatched by your partner and secreted overseas,You would hope that the Japanese or any law would assist you in some countries this is not the case,Japan has a very different outlook on child kidnappers also custody the catalogue of heartbreak for either parent is enormous,it is essential that Gaijin be aware of this because the breakdown of human relationships is a reality with grave consequences.
