Hey guys. I know there's been some questions about bringing money to Japan in the forum but i've looked through all of those with the word "cash" in them and I haven't seen my question.. so hopefully I didn't just miss it; if so, I'm very sorry.
So about my question; I know it's better to bring cash to Japan instead of a credit card, I am perfectly fine with that (although I'd be scared to get robbed BEFORE leaving the country, not in Japan, haha), but I just thought, when I will go to Japan I will be bringing, at the current exchange rate, about 800,000 yen... What's the best way to bring it? should I bring 80 bills of 10,000 yen? And if so, is it annoying for people if I have to use a 10,000 yen bill for something that would be like, 500-1000 yen? Is there somewhere that you can exchange the 10,000 yens for smaller amounts? Or should I just bring smaller amounts from the start and bring, let's say, 800 1,000 yen bills?
I understand that for some that might look like a silly question but I've had bad experiences at some places regarding to this exact thing so that's why I'm asking. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

10,000 yen notes are fine.
You can use them pretty much anywhere except on buses and in vending machines.
