Problems for foreign girls and how to deal w/ it 13 Years, 11 Months ago

My sort of introduction:
Hello, my name is Nari (or Eri, either one) and it has always been my utmost dream to go to Japan, probably ever since I've been in elementary school. I'm in my senior year of high school right now and I plan on using the military (Air Force) to get me there, mainly sending me there for a year to learn the language. (I would really like to live there longer, lol.) (And I've just finished Japanese IV last year in school. Sadly, there are no higher courses at my school.)
A problem I think I will encounter in Japan:
I've seen the videos about how it can probably get very lonely in Japan since we don't know what they are thinking and we probably won't really know if one is really your friend or not. (And before I even saw the video, I saw another one about saying all of the time if there is a problem, "Yes, everything is great. No problem here." If there really is a problem, how do expect to talk to anyone about it?!?!)
I for one really like to talk to SOMEONE about my problems if I ever have one, and since it can get lonely in Japan, probably, how can you not feel lonely or deal with it if you don't really have someone to talk to?
And is there possibly any other problems that I would encounter and how to deal with them while I'm in Japan? I think the fact that I am a girl might make a little worse, honestly. Lol.

Sounds like---before you go to Japan, make a few friends in the military (which I'm sure will be automatic) and see if you can't get a few of them to travel where you're going?
You might have thought of this already.

You have a few options if you don't find close japanese friends.
1) you can ALWAYS talk to the rest of the foreigners. They are other foreigners in Japan too.
2)If you don't make friends at all....just find a friend in internet. no problem to share your problems to a friend in internet....it's way safer
don't worry you won't be lonely if you belive in yourself. Good luck! I wish they take you in the military!
