So... I saw that video that Craig made on the YT channel (or perhaps it was TheSillyOldDude one) called, "Big in Japan", which was very funny tbh, and it got me thinking about the topic more. Based on any of your experiences being a "large foreigner", esp. a larger-stature Westerner (and/or somewhat overweight one, esp. here in the states, like me), how do the Japanese react when they see a large gaijin? I was further reminded of the
massive size difference when seeing the classic Pizza-La commercial with Bob Sapps (former UFC fighter). He was at least twice or three times the size of the Japanese girls behind him.
Of course, Bob Sapps isn't the average size of an American, but still...
I also remember seeing a very interesting YT clip where there were these high school (or middle school?) male students admiring and observing a fairly tall (above-average) Japanese girl in their class for several minutes.
I'm curious about this for myself as well because I am fairly large (about 6 feet tall or so and over 200 pounds) and kind of chubby. I plan on visiting Japan whenever I get the chance (and the money for a plane ticket there and whatnot) at least as a tourist for a week or 2 or maybe a month, if lucky enough.
