Hi there!

Like many of you I found this forum via YouTube.

My name is Mike, I am German and I will be coming to Japan on March 20th to stay there for two years. I will visit a Japanese language school in Higashi Shinjuku, Tokyo and I am utterly excited about coming over

I will rent an apartment somewhere near the Yamanote line for the two years.

I am sure that I will have a ton of questions coming up in the next couple of weeks - so I hope there's someone out there to answer them

Here's question #1:

I plan to buy an iPhone. I need a Provider for that. Here in Europe there are many 'flat rate' contracts. Does something like that exist in Japan, too? I would require a flat rate internet plan with reasonable overseas charges.

So if anyone knows anything about that subject, I would appreciate the help.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,
Docomo and Softbank are the biggest providers.
After you start a bank account you can get a plan from them.
