We see lots of it in Japan.
Even really young kids can make beautiful little cranes and all sorts of stuff.
It is alive and well

My mother once wanted to teach me but I'm just not to good at it or have any big interest...

Personaly I think it is a nice part of Japanese culture but it's not for people without creativity or people who are not good with their hands...

Oh man, I used to love Origami as a child. I still remember how to make a crane, but that's about it. I can recall, at about age ten or so, making a scorpion and feeling very proud.

Hi and welcome!

Samurai8 must have forgotten to put the quote in quotations

Actually... this forum is stricter about posting links
We had some spammers post some dangerous links a while back and the admin have been stricter on it ever since..

Better to cut and paste and attribute or just enclose it in quotations is enough

I am looking forward to reading more from you
