I am a BIochemistry student in the UK and I would like to know what can I do to get a job as a researcher in Japan, as well as the current situation of research there.

Why would foreigner be accepted only as English teachers? I think if you show them that you're better and smarter than them, then they'll respect you and hire you no matter your gaijin-ness.

I think that the more "friendly and smiling" and formal japanese are the further and distant they want to be from you. Do you think this is true?
