If I go to Japan stay for 90 days then go back to my own country for a week or so then go back would I be able to get another 90 days? If this is possible how many times do you think it would work?

That used to work.. but they are clamping down on it..

As Petina said they are clamping down on this. A few years ago it was a bit more common but now they are catching onto it and are refusing people who keep comming back after short periods.

Also I was chatting to people while I was in Japan (they worked in a bar) about how someone they knew probably won't get back into the country as he was doing this (he had done it twice before but immigration caught on he was doing this).

Why not go the legal way?... these people I mean...
I'm looking for a job and will definately go the legal way. Don't want to mess my life here!
I heard you can get banned for LIFE from Nippon for doing illegal working.
