Hello All:
I wasn't sure whether to put this thread in the Recreation & Entertainment section, or in the Employment section.
I am curious about what the law and what the cultural morays are regarding busking in Japan (busking is street performing either for free or for tips)...
Could someone on a 90-day tourist visa do some busking in the park with their instrument, or would they be kicked out of the country?
What if you were doing it for free and not for tips?
Is there a busking permit?
How do the Japanese feel about buskers in public areas?
Thank you so much!

Taking money on a tourist visa would be breaking the rules. (work)
Busking rules vary from city to city, a permit would be required.
