For my trip next year to Japan I was considering going on a Riverboat tour of Tokyo. The boat offers views of the skyline (which I figure would be wonderful to see at night while enjoying a dinner.) Has anyone experienced this first hand? If not has anyone seen information on this anywhere? I found a clip on youtube, but it was dated and did not offer much in the way of details.

I haven't been on a riverboat tour around Tokyo although i know you may be able to find somthing around the Arakawa river that runs through Toyko City, the area we were in that this river passes through was Asakusa district. I say this because we seen those slim but wide tour boats running along the river.

I'm sure if someone else has been on one they will give more insight, otherwise trying to find information in some tour guides might help

I removed it, I don't wanna break the rules on only day two I hope that someone that is living there in Japan now will see this and let me know about their experiences with them. From what I have seen there are 2 types of boats that are available. One is a "tour" type boat with limited seating (just zooms along the water) and often has a guide which knows limited English and points out the different sights. These tours are (for obvious reasons) restricted mostly to the day time. A second type of boat is much larger and holds tables for seating and often features a local band. These boats slowly wind through the waterways affording nice views of the city at night while you have dinner.
