Your Japanese Boyfriend or Ex 12 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 4
I just wanna know so I can try to understand my boyfriend more based on your experiences... How was/is your Japanese bf like? Does he message you everyday? Does he ask you about your day? does it irritate him when you ask intimate or deep questions like do you really love me? how much? are you sure? stuff like that...

How often does he tell you I love you or I miss you?
my boyfriend messages me everyday even if we are in a long distance relationship. But since he started working, his messages are less, not sweet/caring, instead of everyday, his messages are every other day now T_T
how about your Japanese guys? Thanks a lot, your answers might be able to enlighten me. Im doing research because I love him Im trying to understand...

Sure.. that is pretty standard.
It is unusual that he ever messaged you every day - they rarely do that - too busy playing with their friends or reading hentai manga in konbini.

(You may want to stop using the word "Jap" and remove it from this forum - it is highly offensive to many people and will get you banned here.)

Well I think every relationship should be based on trust. Of course doubting is sth natural.

From my experience I'd say everyday messaging is normal...saying what he did or his plans is usual...but saying "i love you" is uncommon...perhaps "i miss you" or "I want u" from time to time is normal

Long distance relationships are difficult but if you chat or video chat you can handle it and continue until you meet again .

Best regards

Sometimes Japanese are described as being more quiet and even silent than other people but day-to-day life seems to show they enjoy talking and can be as garrulous as any other people. Studies have shown though that Japanese describe more situations as being ?noisy? and there does seem to be a cultural acceptance of ?companionable silences? in which it quite to alright socialise with someone and not say anything. ?Source, Kate Elwood,Daily Yomiuri"
