Hi, why are japanese people compere each other hands?

Because I worked today at the world tournaments swimming for handicapped people and I am at the doping control and we pick random people and lucky me i had a japanese guy today!! So i had to follow him till he pied (we cant choice them by ourself)Later after some good laughs the swimmer was comparing my hands with his own hands, thumps on thumps and hands on hands he also gave me a ?crossed handed shake?.

What do they mean with this?

Also asked their bloodtypes and one swimmer in the team had also AB like me so that was funny.

Made some photo's with them to and they will send it me when they are back in Japan!!!

I also asked it "The silly old dude" (dont know his name ) and he said that lots of them are into the meaning of palm reading and hand shapes and stuff. And wanted to be nice.

Yes, they take lots of meaning about palms.. sort of like palm reading.

Comparing hands like that might just be because yours were big?? (are they?)

Nothing in your post suggested anything about smells.. I would suspect he WAS just being friendly.

I also tought he was being friendly but like the bloodtype thing there was maybe a reason behind it why they do it

And yes both, my hands and thumps were slighty bigger than his. when he saw that he smiled.
(he didn't speak english so i couldn't ask it himself)
It also was a really cool experince and it made my ?feelings? to go to study japan only stronger!(still doing preparation stuff in my own country for it)
