Actually it also is very much concerned with portrayal of children in anime so things such as Beyblade are at risk. (Personally love Beyblade tooo) but banning "ecchi games" would seriously cripple any visual novel! I mean, Fate/stay night is an Eroge and what a brilliant series that turned out to be. Sure maybe there should be better structure to age restrictions? but an all out ban? we would never again get masterpieces like Ghost in the Shell or Elfen Lied.

Also the law also only stipulates "harmful" material, so how long do they start using this law to ban political ideals though this media? besides if you really don't like ecchi anime just don't buy it?

also anyone with an interest in Yaoi, well it just wont exist anymore.

But yes it will only affect "harmful" material and in Tokyo (but live pornography is unaffected)

hmm...ii just read the article. But what i've found was the govt only ban those explicit x18 hentai animes, games & related items. I'm happy to hear about that..finally they take actions! Am sick of ecchi animes... If you guys realize, most ecchi animes are released in 2010.

Well, it affects not only the ecchi and hentai relatet stuff but as well crime and violence as well as "encourages cruelty, and/or may compel suicide" relatet anime/manga and so on... well have fun with hello kitty....

best regards
