i find it interesting that in my search that i have seen some japanese wearing , ganguro or lolitas( they look so kawaii ) and they donot from what i have seen get abused or belittled like open minded west am i right on this?

I guess the fashion and culture that eminates from the Harajuku area is pretty much a weekend thing, from what i've heard incorporating such fashion into everyday life wouldn't sit well with traditional Japanese values?
Correct me if i'm wrong, i'm very new to this sort of thing!

Still, i'd love to see it first hand one day.
