Anyway, why is it that it isn't cool to hold hands or kiss your partner in public but, in anime nudity is just another thing. Prostitution is legal in Japan, right? If that is so, how bad are sexual diseases in Japan? Is pornography rampant in Japan, like it seems to be in anime (every guy in anime has a stash)? How do age groups differ with promiscuity(high school, young adult, adult, old people)? What defines pornography in Japan(so much breast fan service and I know some kids watch it)? What is the age of consent? Even though it isn't exactly legal, do kids drink in Japan (like with their families)? Sorry for the incredibly high parenthesis usage.

Prostitution is not legal in Japan. However there is a lot of leeway before one commits a crime.
A loose description of what is considered prostitution in Japanese law: Money is paid for performing an act in which the female could become pregnant.
Very narrow definition no?
Very difficult to prove such an act took place.
No wonder there are so many Fashion health shops.

What is the deal with incest in Japan? I have seen like three anime and one movie about incest... the anime was much less disturbing, I didn't even finish the movie, it was radically weird.
