I'm heading to Japan for a four-week holiday in March and during that time I'd like to stay a couple of nights in a nice Ryokan with outdoor onsen that has a decent view. Ideally I'd be looking at spending no more than 17000 yen per night. Unfortunately so far I've not had a lot of luck finding anywhere that meets my criteria, and I'm hoping someone here might have some recommendations or suggestions to point me in the right direction. Here's what I'm hoping for:
Less than a day trip from Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima or Kyoto
Staff that speak some basic English as I think I'd struggle to make the reservation and communicate with my limited Japanese otherwise
Aforementioned price range of 17000 yen per night or under
Single person room available
I know this is a very specific list, but I've been trying to find something that checks all these boxes for a while now, with no luck, so any assistance would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
