A discussion between a few of us over dinner recently resulted in a bit of a list of businesses in Japan that we have had bad experiences with.

We debated whether we should create a blacklist so that others could see it.. and decided that we should do so in order to help other people in Japan avoid potentially bad experiences too.

We have had negative experiences with the following businesses in Japan:

GT Channel Car Video Network
(Stay away from them - don't believe a word they say.)

Bodylife Physical Therapy Tokyo
(very rude owner)

LeoPalace
(not following through on promises)

Jetstar Airlines
(bad service, messing up tickets)

Tama Ryokan in Tokyo
(rude owners)

XCom Global
(Didn't do what they said they would do and didn't care when we told them that)

I Love Outdoors Japan
"too busy" to answer emails. Rude and aggressive owner. Stay away from them.

Shinsei Bank SUCKS

Anyone tried to accept transfers from other people to their Shinsei accounts?

Sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesn't.

Call them up.. check which details should be used (names confuse them no end.. katakana or romaji.. and those f* up foreigner names.. so baffling..)
so they say to use ONLY full sized katakana.. only that will work...

so we do that..
no.. that fails...
so we call them AGAIN and they say katakana OR romaji will work..
so we try that...
no..

Fools in their offices.. no idea.. hopeless.

600 hundred security questions/codes/automated security systems make the whole thing even more of a waste of time and farcical..

Give them a BIG miss.

Paypal Japan have been added for not being foreigner friendly and not helping the old dude when he needed it.

Don't use them - they might not give you YOUR MONEY.

They didn't do what they said they would and when we told their representative that, she didn't seem to care and just gave a "clever" answer.

GT Channel Car Video Network are just another group of clowns who call themselves a "network" to try to take a cut of other people's hard earned money.
They have a reputation for spamming heavily on Youtube using alias acounts and using double speak and other bullshit to try to talk people into their scams.
They quote big numbers that come from other people's hard work - not their own.
Our advice is to stay away from them.
