I've noticed in watching lots of the videos and pictures I've seen of Japan is the absolutely crazy mess the overhead power lines seem to be in Japan. I've only ever seen something like it in a few other places, but even then it seems to be fairly rare.

If you look at street scenes from urban areas in the West, you don't really see this, but even in Tokyo you see tons of overhead powerlines.

I was hoping to see a video on this phenomenon!
