Hey guys.

I have some questions regarding hay fever allergies in Japan - specifically, the 'Kafunshō' many Japanese people experience during Spring.

1. How bad is it really?
2. Is it possible that foreigners may suffer less from it?
2. Are there any areas of Japan where it doesn't affect people as much?
3. Any good treatments for it?

I ask because I plan on heading over to Japan when I finish Uni to be an ALT or CIR. This would mean I'd have to get through a Spring or two! I do get hay fever here in Australia during Spring and it knocks me around a bit TBH so I'm hoping there are ways of avoiding or minimising it. (Perhaps I am allergic to specific pollens in Australia and not those in Japan )

I realise it mightn't be easy to give straightforward answers to these questions but I appreciate any information you can pass on!

Thanks!
