I'm very interested to learn about foreign religious influences in Japan, in particular Christianity. What is the general Japanese opinion of Christianity, if any? Is there a surplus of a particular denomination? Are certain parts of the country more exposed to Christianity than others? Have you had experiences with Japanese Christians or churches? Or maybe even experiences with Christians coming to Japan with the purpose of missionary work?

This whole topic seems to be practically non-existent in any website I go to about Japan, so I'm really interested to find out what you guys might know. Any information is helpful, even if I didn't ask it in one of my one million questions.
