I am looking for online resources (other than Wikipedia) that summarize the structure of the Japanese government (the Prime Minister, the Diet, the Emperor's role, etc), as well as the system of law, mainly major differences between Japanese law and common Western law.

For example, I understand that if you, say, run your car off the road into a rice farmer's crop, you can be held financially liable for the entire crop, not just the portion of the crop that you damage.
