I think the reasons he doesn't talk about himself is because he is modest, also because he says that he thinks Japan is more interesting than he is (I don't think he is impressed by the ego trippers on Youtube who talk about themselves all the time) and I think partly because he wants to protect his and his wife's privacy. I respect him for that.
