Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.

My Name is Paul Miller, I'm a 26 year old college student who is a complete Japanophile. I live (for now) in Atlanta, Ga, USA. I have been to Japan several times for several reasons and will soon be moving back to teach english.

Im a long time suscriber of the youtube channel as I love his insight and videos and often make people who go for the first time watch them. I recently came back from a month long trip with a study abroad group from my college and, being inspired by the youtube channel for Japanchannel, decided to tape some things and write down some things for future visitors or college classmates.As soon as I get done editing them I will offer them up to the board and may link one or two from the youtube channel as a reply. Also, Ill be doing more to spread the word about the youtube channel and forum as it is extremely informative and helpful.

Im sure ill be patrolling this board from now to offer any help and insight. I love everything from Pure Land Buddhist temples to Anime.

You are welcome, but please be aware that posting links or promoting websites or youtube channels is not allowed on this forum.

It used to be.. but we were bombarded with spam (some of it dangerous) and the site became unusable.
So now, NONE of it is allowed, sorry.

(Pretty standard these days that links are not allowed on any forums...)

IT wasnt really my intention to promote anything.

I just have videos that i thought could be helpful in giving people an idea of what to expect. Like of the hotel. I wont post them anymore.

I know it seems harsh... but you should have seen what this forum was like a year ago..

There was Indian spammers with their "make a million dollars from home" scams posting dozens of spam links a day..
there was LOTS of people from youtube posting links to videos of everything from skateboarding to porn..
Sometimes they would say the link was about Japan but when we clicked them it was some spam attack thing that messed up our computers..

it made it impossible to find posts about Japan!!
it totally sucked!!

So now, the only links allowed to be posted are for our man's TJC videos.
(He makes so many.. they should be more than enough)
I know you are for real.. but it is impossible to work out who is genuine and then allow links from some people but not from other.. sorry
