seems teaching is the thing to do here but you need a BA degree in what though? also will teaching be enough to support myself in japan? and what exactly would i have to do while teaching english (like an ALT for the JET programme) because i don't consider myself teaching material but i will if i have to in order to get into japan long term

Minimum of a BA.. they don't care in what field.

What you would be doing depends on the job you get.

The money is normally enough to survive on.

Be prepared to be doing that job for a LONG time if you come here for a long time

I am currently a high school student. I am a girl.
I was wondering in which subjects are Japanese bad and what skills do they lack? Exept for teaching English...what else is a gaijin good for?
I want to graduate in my country and then continue a Bachelor Degree/5 years/ in Japan as a student with a goverment scholarship but i don't know which subject to pick... With what job could I realise there considering that I am a female? Please someone help! Thank you. m(_ _)m

Jobs for gaijin in other areas are rare.

I see a lot of job postings, for software developers, some different kinds of engineers and in the banking and finance industry. If you don't speak a lot of Japanese and are good-looking, you could also try modelling and acting. assuming your caucasian. Japanese love to have caucasian talent for their advertising campaigns.

I'd suggest you look for a multi-national corporation that has an office in both your home country and Japan. Perhaps then you could start off in your own country and then apply for a transfer. Speaking Japanese, will of course, help your chances.

I believe any college degree coupled with being a native English speaker will get you a full-time position. Having a college diploma will get you a part-time gig. My roommate was a part-timer at Nova and then he subsidized his income by selling bootleg dvd's to other teachers...smart chap.
