I can spell, it is just that this is the internet, and i am not so precise(forgot what the word was) with my spelling, and i am only thirteen, so i got five years until gymasium(or highschool for the usa.) and after that i still got to study three more years, so i got eight years to improve my english

But please, correct me when i type something wrong, it'll help me improve

There is so much interesting information being shared here it's a real pleasure to see so many others with the same fervor towards living in Japan.

But may i ask Petina, what is it that motivated you to teach in Japan?

Personally I am an English major, taking Japanese classes in my university.

Do you believe that having a good mastery of the Japanese written and spoken language will play well in my favor.

I am 22.

Teaching English in Japan is one of the few opportunities we have

Many English schools have a rule that teachers are not allowed to speak Japanese during lessons.
Basically they see us as "English performers", so they expect us to just use English.

Outside work,Japanese will be more useful.

Thanks that is very helpful, I intend on first trying to be hired by the big English teaching schools in Japan and then transitioning to becoming a high school teacher, do you believe that it would be possible to teach other subjects than English after several years.

I understand that this would be a case to case based thing but i do intend on doing everything within my power to settle down in Japan, if your wondering the reason it is because of students in Japan and there respect for teachers it is inspiring
