Homestay question 14 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Im thinking of doing a homestay in Japan but im abit scared im abit old for it? I am 23-26 age range and would love to experience the differant culture of Japan, it seems so amazing for its historial background and also technological advances - I do not want to stay in a westernized hotel because I believe you lose alot of the culture that way -

I hope to start a music career there but I thought learning the language would get my foot in the door by attending a language school - I think I would make a good guest, I dont smoke, drink or do drugs and im not a loud person, I dont party and I dont eat alot, yet very outgoing, I was raised very well - am I too old for it or is there still time to do it?

Thank you for reading, have a nice day

No, you are not too old.
There is already a thread on homestay so you might want to read that for some more info.

I did a homestay in Tokyo last year and I was 35. If you're looking to be immersed in Japanese culture, you really can't beat a homestay. If you're a guy, it might be a little difficult to find a place at your age, but then again I found a place with a nice young family. Google homestayweb.com, that's where I found my place. Good luck.
